JDS Senior HD Devegowda demands waiver of delayed admission fees for pre-university colleges

JDS Senior HD Devegowda has demanded the complete waiver of delayed admission fees applicable to all pre-university colleges. He wrote a letter to Rashmi V. Mahesh, Additional Chief Secretary of School Education and Literacy. Devegowda stated that charging delayed fees for first PUC admissions before the CBSE 10th grade results are published is illogical and imposes a financial burden on parents. He also noted that the department's STAS portal technical glitches prevented colleges from completing the admission process within the stipulated time.
