Bengaluru Today is an independent local news site covering Bengaluru city — neighbourhood by neighbourhood — and nothing else.

How it works

Every 20 minutes we read the public RSS feeds of 16 Karnataka news outlets, keep only the reports that concern the city, and publish a short brief of each in English and Kannada. Briefs never add, remove or alter a fact from the original report, and every one credits and links to the outlet that reported it first.

Stories are checked against a list of the city's neighbourhoods before publication, and anything the system is not certain about is held for a human to read first.

If you spot an error, tell us. Confirmed errors are corrected in place and the story shows the date it was updated.
