Elephant causing panic in Bengaluru finally returned to forest

Forest department staff successfully guided the elephant, which had caused panic in the Bengaluru outskirts, back to the forest area of Bannerghatta National Park. The elephant, which had trampled and killed Nagaraj (60) near Anekalpaya on Monday morning, was guided back to the forest. Authorities temporarily halted traffic on city roads, the Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway, and Nice Road during the operation. The elephant was guided to the Bannerghatta National Park area after wandering from the BM Forest area.
