High Court directs GBA to provide ₹2.77 crore compensation to man injured by falling tree branch in Bengaluru

The High Court issued a significant order directing the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) to provide ₹2.77 crore compensation to G. Chandan, who was severely injured by a falling tree branch while passing through the road. G. Chandan had filed the application, seeking ₹5 crore compensation for medical, family expenses, and daughter's education, due to suffering from traumatic paraplegia. The bench of Justice Suraj Govindaraj directed that the compensation of ₹2,77,29,695 must be paid to the applicant to GBA with an annual interest of 6%.
