Canal construction stalled in Malleshwaram; residents face water issues

The canal construction project in Malleshwaram, aimed at solving recurring water issues during the monsoon, has stalled. Residents are concerned about the stalled work, which was initially planned with funding from the Karnataka Neeravari Nigam. Contractor Shivaputrapa Agadi stated that the work has stopped because over ₹ 4 crore, which was due from the government, has not been released. Officials stated that the 500-meter canal work is stalled, and the process to lay the slab will begin soon.
