Transport workers protest in Bengaluru demanding salary arrears and benefits

Transport workers staged a protest at the Freedom Park in Bengaluru on Wednesday, demanding the fulfillment of various demands, including salary increase and providing production incentive funds for technical staff. Protest leaders demanded the immediate payment of 12 months' salary arrears for 2020 to all service and retired employees of the four transport corporations. They also demanded the payment of the remaining ₹652 crore of the 26-month salary arrears and ₹6000 crore of the 'Shakti Yojana' arrears in a single installment.
