Special session of Legislative Council addresses drought and Kasturirangan report

Legislative Council Speaker Saleel Ahmed stated that the special session addressed the perceived lack of discussion during the monsoon session. He noted that discussions were held for 28 hours over four days. During the session, the government and opposition discussed the 7th notification issued by the central government regarding the Kasturirangan report. Additionally, 18.15 hours were spent discussing the drought situation in the state.
