H D Kumaraswamy meets protesting farmers, seeks action against police over Bidadi township land acquisition

Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy met farmers, including women, on Saturday who are protesting against the land acquisition for the proposed Bidadi township project. He alleged that the protesters had been subjected to 'merciless' police action and sought stringent action against police personnel. The protest occurred after police moved to disperse farmers who had allegedly blocked the Bidadi-Harohalli road in Bengaluru South district.
