Residents demand widening or new bridge for 60-year-old bottleneck on Mysuru Road

A 60-year-old, narrow bridge near Bengaluru University Gate on Mysuru Road has become a major traffic bottleneck. Residents and commuters are demanding that the bridge be widened or a new one be constructed. Officials noted that the narrow structure, built over a stormwater drain, causes severe congestion for vehicles traveling on the 6-lane Mysuru Road.
