Protest held in Bengaluru over alleged derogatory statements by Community Health Officers

The District Unit of the Karnataka State Health Inspectors Association held a protest at the District Epidemic Officer's office on Wednesday. The protest was over allegations that Community Health Officers (CHO) made derogatory statements about the roles of Health Inspectors (HIO) and Primary Health Supervisors (PHCS) on social media. Protesters stated that CHO making statements that dampen enthusiasm is incorrect, especially since HIO and PHCS officers have served in controlling diseases like polio, measles, malaria, and COVID-19. They demanded that cooperation and respect be maintained among all officers.
