Minister Bhairavi Suresh accused of giving false statement regarding bus fare hike

State Transport Minister Bhairavi Suresh stated that the state government is preparing for a significant increase in KSRTC bus fares. He claimed that the bus ticket fare has not been increased in the last 11 years. Suresh also mentioned that the state government increased the KSRTC bus fare by 15% on January 2, 2025. He stated that a meeting of senior officers and organizational heads is scheduled for the 4th, after which the fare increase amount will be officially announced.
