Karnataka Ratna Award to Dr. Vishnuvardhan and B. Sarojadevi to be presented in Bengaluru

The state government has decided to confer the 'Karnataka Ratna' award posthumously upon veteran actors Dr. Vishnuvardhan and B. Sarojadevi. Kannada and Culture Minister Shivraj Tangadagi announced this at Vidhana Soudha, stating the ceremony will take place on November 19 at the Vidhana Soudha Grand Step. The award was decided during the cabinet meeting on September 11, 2025.
