Hospital denies allegations of withholding body over ₹35.8 lakh bill; family alleges delay in release of deceased Bangladeshi patient's body

A Bangladeshi patient's wife has alleged that a private hospital on Old Airport Road in Bengaluru withheld her husband's body for over a week due to an outstanding bill of approximately ₹35.8 lakh. The hospital, however, has denied these allegations, stating that the family had requested the body be kept in the morgue until the outstanding amount was settled. The deceased patient, Mr. Abdul Hakim Shabuj, was admitted to the private hospital for severe heart issues on September 8 and passed away on September 18.
