Food Department warns that e-KYC done via mobile is invalid; Ration Card users advised

The Food and Civil Supplies Department issued a warning that e-KYC done via the Central Government's Mera Ration mobile app at home will not be officially valid in Karnataka. Officials clarified that citizens should not be misled by false information circulating on social media. The department stated that every member listed on the ration card must mandatorily visit their Fair Price Shop to complete e-KYC using the e-PoS machine. Furthermore, the last date for e-KYC has been extended until October 20.
