Finance Department raises objections over Hebbal Short Tunnel Road project in Bengaluru

The State Finance Department has raised strong objections to the ambitious Hebbal Short Tunnel Road project in Bengaluru. The department suggested postponing the 2.2 km tunnel road project, which was planned between Esthem Mall and Veterinary College, until a new proposal based on a comprehensive traffic plan is submitted. Concerns were raised regarding the financial, contractual, and traffic planning aspects, including the integration with the proposed North-South tunnel route and the financial burden on BDA.
