Demand for impartial investigation into alleged misuse of Form-7 for voter list exclusion

K. Uma, State Secretary of USC-I, demanded an impartial investigation into a case where Form-7 was allegedly misused to exclude eligible voters. She also demanded that the SIAR process be suspended until the investigation is complete. Uma stated that while Form-7 can be used to request the removal of ineligible and questionable voters, filing such applications against eligible voters from religious minorities, Dalits, and backward classes is concerning. She further alleged that the BJP allegedly submitted thousands of Form-7 applications containing printed voter details without providing proper information to the applicants, calling for a comprehensive and impartial investigation.
