BWSSB to fast-track 9 World Bank-funded STPs across Bengaluru

BWSSB Chairperson Dr N Manjula directed officials to accelerate the construction of nine World Bank-funded Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), with a combined treatment capacity of 148 MLD, across Bengaluru. She reviewed progress on STP construction and sewerage networks in zones including Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Dasarahalli, Byatarayanapura, Bommanahalli, and Mahadevapura. She also directed officials to establish timelines for all projects and design the Cauvery Water Supply Scheme Stage VI to meet future drinking-water needs for Bengaluru and surrounding areas.
