CM Dikshit recalls asking forgiveness from Mathadheeshwaras over past caste division disputes

Chief Minister Dikshit stated that he had once sought forgiveness from the Mathadheeshwaras when attempts were made to separate the Veerashaiva and Lingayat communities. During a meeting at the CM's residence on Race Course Road, a delegation of over 25 Mathadheeshwaras from Uttara Karnataka and Kalyana Karnataka met with him. Dikshit assured the delegation that their government would operate with unity, stating, 'We are those who weave with a needle, not those who cut with a knife.'
