BMRDA proposes notifying thousands of kilometers of land for Bengaluru road grid

The Bangalore Metropolitan Region Development Authority (BMRDA) has proposed notifying thousands of kilometers of land in Bengaluru Urban for creating a road grid. Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda stated that the move aims to prevent traffic congestion in the city’s outskirts. Property owners whose land falls within the proposed alignments will have to relinquish the notified land free of cost to the government. The minister added that the list of properties marked for the formation of roads will be uploaded on the BMRDA website and panchayat and revenue offices.
