Following allegations and strong protests from Kannada organizations regarding job opportunities for Kannadigas at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), BIAL has issued an official clarification. BIAL stated, 'We are always committed to creating meaningful employment opportunities for Kannadigas.' The BIAL board stated that the airport reflects the culture, architecture, design, and aspirations of the people of Karnataka, and that the majority of employees are Kannadigas. BIAL also assured that it is ready to take necessary steps after discussions with government authorities and partner organizations.
