ASP requests government to remove him from Saujanya investigation team

ASP Venkatesh Prasanna has written to the state government requesting to be removed from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed for the re-investigation of the Saujanya rape and murder case. He decided to leave the team after social activists and the Saujanya family raised objections regarding the presence of controversial officers. The SIT was formed on September 24 under IGP Shashikumar, and ASP Venkatesh Prasanna was initially part of the team.
