Accident rates in Bengaluru: 70% increase in accidents over 5 years

Bengaluru Traffic Police data reveals a concerning rise in road accidents in the city. Over the last five years, the number of accidents has increased by approximately 70%. The number of accidents rose from 3,213 in 2021 to 5,459 in 2025. The number of deaths from road accidents also increased by about 53% during this period.
