Plot owners in Banashankari 6th Phase face hurdles from Forest Department after 25 years

Plot owners in 329 BDA plots in Block 3, Banashankari 6th Phase, Bengaluru, have been struggling to build homes for the past 25 years. Although they received plots from BDA, the Forest Department has not granted permission to construct houses. The plots, located in various survey numbers of Hemmigepura, are adjacent to Turuhalli Forest, leading the Forest Department to declare the area a buffer zone and prohibit construction. While some initially received permission, none have received it since 2018.
