The High Court rejected the plea of BJP leader Maneka Sanjay Gandhi to quash the defamation case filed against her in a Bengaluru court. The single-judge bench, presided over by Justice Anantha Ramanatha Hegde, issued the order after the criminal petition filed by Maneka Gandhi (70). The court directed the Sessions Court to independently decide the matter based on the allegations, recorded statements, and documents submitted before the court.
