BMRCL awards contract for short Purple Line extension beyond Whitefield

Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) awarded a contract to Milan Road Buildtech LLP for extending the Purple Line by 482.8 metres beyond the Whitefield station. The contract value is Rs 64.82 crore, which is 3.7% higher than BMRCL's estimate of Rs 62.51 crore. The completion period for this extension is set at 548 days (18 months). Separately, BMRCL is preparing a Feasibility Study Report (FSR) for a new 16-km line from KR Puram to Hoskote.
