Protest by villagers in Panathuru over lack of cremation ground space

Villagers from Panathuru, Panathuru Dinne, staged a protest in front of Panathuru Tree Park. They protested against the lack of a designated cremation ground (rudra bhoomi) space. Villagers alleged that out of the 33.12 acres of government land in Survey No. 52, Panathuru village, where land is allocated for the Adhiparashakti temple, playground, and public road, at least 2-3 acres have not been reserved for cremation purposes. Protestors demanded that authorities immediately visit the site and either designate space for the cremation ground or provide assurance of allocating a new area.
