Residents protest lack of compound and infrastructure at Peenya cremation ground

Residents of Peenya Dasarahalli reported that the cremation ground, located in the area covering Hegganahalli, Marutinagar, and Shivanandanagar, is suffering from a lack of basic infrastructure. Residents highlighted that the absence of a secure, well-equipped compound and gate has led to the site becoming a hotspot for anti-social activities. They also raised concerns about the lack of proper water facilities for washing hands and feet after cremation rituals, and the accumulation of garbage within the premises.
