Bengaluru Lab Turns Textile Waste into New Clothes, Empowers Local Women

A new facility, 'The Circular Textile Lab', has opened at Kasa Rasa Kendra in Koramangala, Bengaluru. This initiative, by architect and artist Nisha Mathew, aims to prevent virgin textiles from ending up in landfills. The lab has sourced fabric waste from tailoring and fabric shops and boutiques in Koramangala. Furthermore, 45 women underwent training at L R Nagar since January this year, with the lab providing employment to 15 women from underprivileged backgrounds.
