Sidewalk renovation work raises concern over damage to trees in Kengeri

Concerns have been raised that hundreds of trees may fall due to the unscientific sidewalk renovation work in Kengeri. The GBA is currently conducting the sidewalk renovation work around the Kengeri Upnagar Park Road. Local residents stated that the removal and re-laying of concrete blocks on the 3rd and 4th main roads of the park road, along with placing plastic around the base of the trees, will prevent water from reaching the roots, potentially causing the trees to dry up.
