Wildlife smuggling cases at Kempegowda International Airport reduced by over 75%

Following the deployment of a special team by the Forest Department to control illegal wildlife smuggling at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), the number of cases has decreased by more than 75%. The Forest Department officials stated that out of 38 cases recorded in 2025, only six cases have been reported so far in 2026. Investigations have been conducted on these six cases, and the proceedings for three cases have been completed.
