Bengaluru man arrested for allegedly beating mother to death over gold, attempting to stage it as an accident

A man was arrested in eastern Bengaluru for allegedly beating his 70-year-old mother to death during a quarrel over her gold jewellery. The incident occurred at their home in Bevinamara Colony, Kadugodi, on the night of September 24. Police stated that the argument escalated into violence, leading to her death. A post-mortem report later revealed 12 serious injuries on the victim's body.
