Sharannavaratri Utsava and Gangasthal Procession held at JP Nagar temple

Various religious programs and Sharanavaratri Utsava were held at the Shridevi Temple in JP Nagar, Karatagi. On Monday, a grand procession to Gangasthal for Durga Ashtami was held with great enthusiasm. The procession started after the Gangapooje was performed at the Veerabhadreshwara Temple. The procession featured women carrying palanquins, along with groups carrying Purnakumbhas and Kalasas, and musical groups like Dollu and Jhanj mele. The procession passed through old Nadakacheri Road, Dr. Raj Kalamandira, State Highway, Kanakadas Circle, and Navalai Road to reach the temple. Community Mahaannasantarpane was organized in the afternoon.
