WildCraft: Idea born in Jayanagar garage grows into a national brand

WildCraft, a brand that began as a small effort in a garage in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, has grown into one of the country's recognized travel and outdoor product brands. The company started in the 1990s when Dr. Dinesh K.S. faced a problem: quality gear for trekking and camping was difficult to find locally, and foreign products were expensive. The initial production of WildCraft products began in a friend's garage in Jayanagar in 1993. The venture, which initially produced five to ten items daily, expanded its scope from trekking-related products to general consumer goods by 2007.
