BWSSB limits extended across 86 gram panchayats and 11 ULBs in Bengaluru urban district

The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) is expanding its jurisdiction to 86 Gram Panchayats and 11 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across the Bengaluru Urban district. This move is expected to bring piped water connections to nearly 19 lakh people. The BWSSB plans to assess population growth in these areas and draw up projections till 2041 to understand water demand. The Cauvery Stage VI project is also expected to cover some of the newly added areas.
