Women's SHG in Dharwad wins National Award for conserving over 250 native seeds

The Bibi Fatima Women's Self-Help Group (SHG) in Thirthahalli, Dharwad, received a prestigious National Award for its work in conserving over 250 native seeds. Led by Bibijaan Maulasab Halemani, the SHG has been conserving numerous local seeds in the area. The group has collected over 250 varieties of seeds, pulses, millets, rice, and vegetable varieties. This effort aims to help people with quality native seeds for better health and agricultural production.
