Vedike protests state government's plan to replace third language with AI in schools

Deshiya Bhasha Hitarakshana Vedike staged a protest in Bengaluru on Monday, opposing the state government’s intention to replace the third language in its schools with a subject on Artificial Intelligence (AI). Over 2,000 teachers participated in the protest, calling for the resumption of third language teacher recruitment. The Vedike stated that the draft notification published on July 14 sidelines languages like Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Konkani, Tulu, Malayalam, and Arabic.
