Transport Minister raises concern over ₹8,000 crore annual loss to four transport corporations

Transport Minister Byrathi Suresh stated in the Vidhan Parishad that four government-owned transport corporations are incurring an annual loss of ₹8,000 crore. This loss is attributed to the central government increasing diesel and other petroleum product prices four times, without corresponding increases in bus fares. He requested the Chief Minister's approval to raise the bus fares to ensure the survival of the corporations and provide better services to commuters.
