Transport Corporation Employees to Stage Protest on October 7

The Joint Action Committee of Transport Corporations workers announced a protest and satyagraha on October 7 to demand the fulfillment of demands of the four transport corporations of the state. Jyothi Anantasubbarao and B. Jayadevarajare announced this at a press conference in the city on Tuesday. They demanded that the government revise the order so that salary revision is applicable from January 2024, increase the salary by more than 15 percent, and immediately release the 12 months' arrears salary from 2020. Other demands included increasing monthly and daily allowances, and releasing pending PF, gratuity, and dearness allowance.
