Translator must love the original work, Prof. C.N. Ramachandran argues

At an online translation workshop titled 'Kannada Translation: New Possibilities' organized by the Kannada Language Department at Christ Jayanti University, Prof. C.N. Ramachandran stated that translation becomes mechanical if the translator does not love the original work. He added that translation enriches our joy and knowledge only when the translator has that passion. The workshop, which is part of a week-long event, saw participation from professors, researchers, writers, and students from various universities and colleges.
