Traffic fines will be levied on vehicles, not linked to electricity bills, in Bengaluru

Bengaluru's Transport Minister Bairatri Suresh stated that linking traffic violation fines with electricity bills is not possible to implement in the state. Instead, he announced that strict rules will be framed to seize vehicles that fail to pay the fines. Furthermore, the fine for one-way driving and footpaths has been increased from ₹500 to ₹5,000. The minister also announced that a dedicated bus lane system will return to Bengaluru as metro construction nears completion.
