Bengaluru Techie Loses ₹1.9 Crore After Falling for Facebook Ad Scam

A Bengaluru techie lost ₹1.9 crore after clicking on an online trading advertisement seen on Facebook. The victim filed a complaint at the East Cyber Crime Police Station in Bengaluru. Cyber fraudsters, posing as investment advisors, convinced the victim to open an account on a fake platform called 'Proxtrend' and transferred the money in stages between February 27 and September 9.
