Teachers' assignment to SIR work raises concerns over examination results

Education and Literacy Minister Madhu Bangarappa expressed concern that assigning teachers from government and aided schools to the SIR work for voter list revision is disrupting academic activities. He stated that the state government is preparing to formulate a separate law to curb the practice of assigning teachers to non-teaching duties. The minister noted that the lack of teachers is causing disruption in classes and reducing the teaching time for students, leading to complaints from parents and students.
