Survey finds excessive horn use in Bengaluru is more of a habit than a safety measure

A survey conducted by the civil volunteer group 'Beautiful Bharat' on World Deaf Day found that only 30% of respondents cited horn use as a safety precaution. Conversely, over half stated it is a habit, including mechanical honking at traffic signals, impatience, and aggressive driving. Out of 259 participants, 97% agreed that excessive horn use is a major problem in Bengaluru.
