State government SC, ST Coordination Committee Chairman highlights need for end to social inequality and gender discrimination

At a press conference held at the MR.A College premises in Bengaluru, former Karnataka SC, ST Coordination Centre Chairman D. Shivashankarayya stated that the main goal is a India free from social inequality and gender discrimination. He expressed dissatisfaction that political leaders are imposing an unwritten constitution on the people, rather than adhering to the written constitution. He also demanded that back-log posts be filled immediately, and that the income limit for obtaining SC certificates be increased from ₹2.50 lakh to ₹15 lakh.
