State government directs formation of committees at Gram Panchayat and Ward levels to deliver 5 Guarantee Schemes

The state government has directed District Panchayat Executive Officers and Deputy Commissioners to complete the process of forming committees in all Gram Panchayats and urban Ward areas within 15 days. The Janasewa Department has issued an order regarding the appointment of chairpersons and members for these committees within the stipulated time. Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar stated that the government aims for the five state guarantee schemes to reach eligible beneficiaries, and therefore, committees comprising six members each must be formed at the Gram Panchayat and urban Ward levels.
