Staff Shortage for Five City Police Commissionerates in Bengaluru

The cabinet approved the formation of five city police commissionerates within the Greater Bengaluru Authority. However, over 5,000 of the required 6,550 additional posts still lack approval. Police officials expressed concern that the lack of necessary staff could affect the effectiveness of the new system. The government stated that only 1,022 posts have received approval for the 6,550 additional posts needed for the five commissionerates.
