South City Ward: Evening Waste Collection Initiated in Bengaluru

The South City Ward Commissioner K.N. Ramesh stated that waste collection is being conducted in the evenings to improve the waste disposal system and control roadside blackspots. This new system is operational in five wards—four wards within the Bommanahalli constituency and Hongasandra Ward. Waste collection vehicles are now active from 5 PM to 12 AM, collecting both wet and dry waste. The Commissioner also instructed officials to prepare a proposal to utilize the space under the flyover in front of JSS Public School for vehicle parking, due to increased traffic and parking issues around Agar Lake in HSR Layout.
