SIT: Spurious drugs worth ₹12 crore sold to Bengaluru hospitals since Feb 2025

An investigation into a drugs scam has uncovered spurious medicines valued at Rs 12 crore. Eight individuals, including kingpin Veeresh Kumar Jain, have been arrested for selling fake drugs. The accused persons were reportedly selling these fake drugs, often marked with Pfizer labels, since February 2025. Another suspect, R Prashanth, is currently held in Azerbaijan, and a red-corner notice is being issued for him.
