Shiva Lingegowda clarifies: 'I did not say to give money, only to behave respectfully'

Minister Shiva Lingegowda clarified that he had only advised people to behave respectfully with officials, not to give money. Speaking at a press conference in Bengaluru, he stated that he had said, 'It is our duty to behave respectfully with officials and express gratitude after the work is done.' He clarified that his intention was merely to express gratitude for the work done by officials, not to suggest paying money. The minister also mentioned that he had ordered the Deputy Commissioner to investigate the allegations of receiving bribes and ensure the money is returned.
