The Karnataka government has introduced two major decisions to make the Right to Information (RTI) Act easier for citizens and increase transparency. Physical RTI applications submitted via post or in person must now be recorded on the RTI online portal within two days. Furthermore, online RTI application services are extended to all Bengaluru One, Karnataka One, and Gram One centers across the state. Citizens can apply at their nearest center with the help of staff, receiving an online acknowledgement after paying the prescribed RTI fee and center service fee.
